Episode 13: Sexuality and Ageing with Dr. Linda Kirkman

Would you believe people are having the best sex of their life post 50? We don’t often think about sexuality long term and what it looks like.  Dr. Linda Kirkman speaks about her PhD thesis on regional 50-60 year olds with a friends with benefits dynamics and also dispels conservative assumptions with evidence.  A key takeaway Linda speaks about is the concept of intimacy with independence and how later in life people can find out who they are and gain more authenticity, which increases the claiming of sexuality.  Linda also shared some valuable information from the the work of Magnificent Sex: Lessons from Extraordinary Lovers by Peggy Kleinplatz and Dana Menard which is relevant to humans of all ages.  Not to mention some tips from the work of senior sex guru Joan Price.
