Anal Play for Beginners

Both genders can freak out when the term anal play is thrown around.  Some people can get really nervous, and imagine large objects being inserted into this area and think this is what this topic is all about.  This area of the body has many external spots that can elicit sensational pleasure.  Around the rosebud are points that can be massaged or gently rubbed for both genders that can increase arousal.  Who doesn’t want to try and increase arousal?

What I hear often from penis owners whom identify as hetero, is they find it embarrassing, or even label play around this area as ‘gay’.  It’s important to point out that the human body has pleasure zones and these zones have nothing to do with sexual orientation.  If you can throw out misconceived notions of sexual identity and explore your body, you might just find a new pleasure zone.  After all, regardless how one sexually identifies, not everyone wants things inserted in their anus.

Anal play can be an outer experience for any gender, any orientation, and for any couple to explore.

Some tips to consider:

  1. Most people like feeling clean before engaging in sexual play.  This is particularly flagged for anal play.  If you are willing to penetrate this area and feel self conscious, purchasing an anal douche and prepping yourself before play will work wonders.
  2. Use lube, I repeat use lube.  A little goes a long way.
  3. Start slightly further away from the rosebud, and use small circular motions.
  4. Communicate with your partner what is feeling good and what is not.  Softer, slower, faster, more to the left, more to the right?  Don’t be afraid to voice your likes and discomforts during exploration.
